We’ve made it our business to care for the environment, and to do something about it, by providing options for green products.  Once upon a time, those were the only products we sold.  At that time, over 10 years ago, recycled paper was an inferior product.  It was also very expensive.  Few choices existed for the conscientious consumer, and those that did often fell far short of the standards most businesses demanded.          Today, recycled paper is indistinguishable from its virgin counterpart.  In terms of price, it may cost a little more.  But there's another way to look at cost that dramatically shifts the balance.  The REAL costs of "business as usual" are the environmental costs: deforestation, energy consumption, greenhouse gases, hazardous air pollutants, solid waste and wastewater disposal.  These are the real costs of business without consideration of consequence, profit without conscience.  We pay dearly.  And worse, these costs will be carried by our children and our grandchildren and for generations to come.
